Thailand passport holders can get a 6-month or 1-year visa on arrival to Vietnam. However, under the new rules of the state agency, a 6-month or 1-year visa on arrival to Vietnam is only issued for the purpose of business or employment.

Visas on arrival (VOAs) are only available for stays of up to 30 days. If you are a Thai passport holder and you want to stay in Vietnam for longer than 30 days, you will need to apply for a visa in advance at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate.

There are two types of visas that Thai passport holders can apply for:

Single entry visa: This visa allows you to enter Vietnam once and stay for up to 30 days.
Multiple entry visa: This visa allows you to enter Vietnam multiple times within a period of 6 or 12 months, depending on the visa type you apply for.

To apply for a visa, you will need to submit the following documents:

A completed visa application form
Your passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months after your planned departure date from Vietnam
Two passport-sized photos
A visa fee

The processing time for visas varies depending on the embassy or consulate where you apply. However, it is generally recommended that you apply for your visa at least 2 weeks before your planned departure date.

Please note: There is a risk that your VOA application may be rejected, especially if you do not have all of the required documents or if you do not meet the eligibility criteria. How can Thailand citizens get 6 months or 1 year visa on arrival to Vietnam?
